Tonight was an amazing event, as celebrities gathered at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel for the UCLA Head & Neck Surgery Luminary Awards! Hosted by entertainment icon Wayne Newton, the inaugural event honored Grammy Award-winning artist John Mayer, as well as Dianne & James Bashor and Ann & Jerry Moss. The star-studded gala kicked off with a cocktail reception and the show opened with Dr. Gerald Berke presenting Mayer with the UCLA Luminary Award. John Mayer took to the stage and had the crowd swooning with a special acoustic performance of “Dear Marie” and “Daughters.” The evening also included a musical performance by Grammy Award-winning artist Celine Dion, who received a standing ovation for “My Heart Will Go On.” Additional celebrity guests included Teri Hatcher, Karina Smirnoff, and Ali Fedotowsky, among others!
